Privacy

Short version: what you read, note and answer is yours, and it stays in your own iCloud.

What stays with you

Your reading progress, saved and followed cases, notes, highlights and answers are stored on your device and synced between your iPhone and iPad through your private iCloud database. We can’t see them. Turn off iCloud for The Small Hours in Settings and they stay on the device.

What comes from us

The cases, photographs and narration are downloaded from our servers. Like any web server, they see the request but not who you are. There are no analytics, no tracking and no ads, in the app or on this website, and this website sets no cookies.

Your location

Near me asks for your location while you use the app, to show the cases closest to where you are. It stays on your device.

Deleting your data

Settings › Delete all my data removes your progress, saved and followed cases, notes, highlights, answers and settings from the device and from your iCloud. It can’t be undone.
